What Struq does
Struq is a content structuring tool. You paste or capture unstructured text, pick a template, and our AI structures it into organized fields. The Struq browser extension lets you capture content from webpages directly.
Data we collect
- Account info: Email address and display name (via Google OAuth or magic link sign-in).
- Content you provide: Text you paste or capture, structured outputs, and custom templates you create.
- Source metadata: When using the browser extension, the URL and page title of captured content.
- Usage analytics: Anonymous event tracking (page views, feature usage) via PostHog to improve the product.
- Payment info: Handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID but never see your card details.
Browser extension
The Struq browser extension captures page content when you open the side panel, use the right-click menu, or click the “Struq it” button that appears on text selection. It does not track your browsing or transmit data without your action. Captured content is sent to Struq servers for structuring and stored in your account.
How we use your data
- To provide the structuring service (sending content to our AI for processing).
- To store and display your structured objects, templates, and captures.
- To deliver structured data to destinations you configure (webhooks).
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Third-party services
- Supabase: Authentication and database hosting.
- Anthropic: AI content structuring (Claude). Your content is sent to Anthropic for processing.
- Stripe: Payment processing.
- PostHog: Product analytics.
- Vercel: Application hosting.
Data retention and deletion
Your content is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual objects at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
